What historical issues have drawn their attention in the early times? What has been the course of compilations over time and role of the hadith areas in their formation? These questions are dealt with in the present study which seeks to clarify the Shiites’ historiography and their views on this subject. The findings of this study indicate that for Shi'i authors and historians, the history of Shi'a (i.e., the life of the Imams) has mostly had priority over the history of the Muslim world. Thus, the events closely related to Shiite history were chosen as subjects for Shi'i scholars' compilations and work. The historical course of the compilation of works indicates that the formation of each historical subject over time has gone through a different process and has either been welcomed or rejected by the scholars. Also, Shi'i hadith areas have played different roles in shaping these works. Generally, Shiite historiography in the first five centuries has been indebted to the efforts of the scholars in the scientific centers of Iraq, especially the Kufa school. علم تاریخ در میان شیعیان از چه اهمیتی برخوردار بوده است؟ چه موضوعات تاریخی توجه آنان را در ادوار نخست برانگیخته است؟ سیر هرگونه تألیفی در بستر زمان و نقش حوزه های حدیثی در شکل گیری آن به چه صورت بوده است؟ این پرسش ها مسائل این پژوهش به شمار می آید تا در پرتو آن، تاریخچه‌ی علم تاریخ در میان شیعیان و نظرگاه آنان به این علم روشن گردد. یافته های این پژوهش گویای آن است که برای مؤلفان و مورخان شیعی، غالباً تاریخ تشیع (یعنی: زندگانی ائمه‌ی اطهار) بر تاریخ جهان اسلام اولویت داشته است. بدین روی، وقایعی که رابطه‌ی تنگاتنگی با تاریخ تشیع داشته مطمح نظر عالمان شیعه برای تألیف اثر بوده است. سیر تاریخی تألیف آثار نشانگر آن است که شکل گیری هریک از موضوعات تاریخی در بستر زمان، روند یکسانی نداشته و با اقبال و ادبار از سوی عالمان مواجه بوده است. همچنین حوزه های حدیثی شیعه در شکل گیری این آثار نقش های متفاوتی با یکدیگر داشته اند و در مجموع، تاریخ نگاری شیعه در پنج سده‌ی نخست، مرهون تلاش های عالمان مراکز علمی حوزه‌ی عراق، به ویژه مکتب کوفه، بوده است. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/3_46.pdf
