Anger is rooted in arrogance and conceitedness. Basically, many moral vices have their roots in conceit and arrogance. Moreover, in some narratives, arrogance, greed and envy are introduced as the roots of unfaith and human’s destruction. As Imam Hassan says: "The destruction of people lies in three things: arrogance, greed and envy. Arrogance is the cause of the destruction of religion, and Satan was cursed because of it. Greed is the enemy of the soul, and Adam was removed from Paradise as the result of greed. Envy is the leader of badness, and Cain killed Abel because of envying him ". This paper discusses in detail the issue of modesty and good conduct as two features of real Shi'a. امیرمؤمنان علی علیه السلام، در ادامه‌ی خطبه‌ی نورانی خود و پس از آنکه شیعیان واقعی و مؤمنان راستین را به سبب کظم غیظ و فروخوردن خشم خود می ستایند، به چند ویژگی و نشانه‌ی دیگر آنها اشاره می کنند و درباره‌ی نشانه‌ی مؤمنان و شیعیان واقعی می فرمایند: «صَافِیاً خُلُقُهُ،‏ آمِناً مِنْهُ جَارُهُ، سَهْلاً أَمْرُهُ، مَعْدُوماً کِبْرُهُ، بَیِّناً صَبْرُهُ، کَثِیراً ذِکْرُه»؛ اخلاقش نیکو، همسایه اش از او ایمن، کارش آسان، کبر و غرور از او رخت بربسته، صبرش آشکار و یاد خدا و ذکر او فراوان است. ریشه‌ی غضب، تکبر و خودبزرگ بینی است. دانستیم ریشه‌ی بسیاری از مفاسد اخلاقی، تکبر و خودبزرگ بینی است. همچنین در برخی روایات، تکبر، حرص و حسد ریشه‌ی کفر و هلاکت انسان معرفی شده است، چنان که امام حسن علیه السلام، می فرمایند: «هَلَاکُ‏ النَّاسِ‏ فِی‏ ثَلَاثٍ‏: الْکِبْرُ وَالْحَسَدُ وَالْحِرْصُ؛ فَالْکِبْرُ هَلَاکُ الدِّینِ وَبِهِ لُعِنَ إِبْلِیسُ، وَالْحِرْصُ عَدُوُّ النَّفْسِ وَبِهِ أُخْرِجَ آدَمُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَالْحَسَدُ رَائِدُ السُّوءِ وَمِنْهُ قَتَلَ قَابِیلُ هَابِیل»‏؛ هلاکت مردم در سه چیز است: کبر، حرص و حسد. کبر موجب نابودی دین است و به جهت آن (کبر) شیطان ملعون شد. حرص دشمن جان است و به واسطه‌ی حرص، آدم از بهشت خارج گردید. حسد سردسته‌ی بدی هاست و به واسطه‌ی حسد قابیل، هابیل را کشت. این مقاله به تفصیل به بحث تواضع و سلوک به عنوان ویژگی شیعیان واقعی می پردازد. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/1_46.pdf
