Using a descriptive-analytical method, this paper seeks to study this issue in the works of Imam Khomeini. In his works, three main indicators for piety are introduced, which is consistent with what we know from the Imam Ali (as) culture in this regard. The main point is that, the considering avoidance in the definition of piety, is the spiritual avoidance, not the physical one, that contrary to the popular perception, turns piety from the physical perception, into a physical-spiritual one. Accordingly, this ethical issue becomes a stimulus factor, which brings ascetic seriously into society to confront with the social problems. The ontological viewpoint of Imam Khomeini is one of the pillars of this definition of piety and ascetic. As a Sadraie philosopher, he portrays a picture of the universe and man and the philosophy of life, which also affects the moral concept. Piety in this view is active, not passive. زهد از کلیدواژه های مهم در علم اخلاق است. در این تحقیق برآنیم تا با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی از دریچه آثار امام خمینی ره به این مقوله بنگریم. در آثار ایشان سه شاخص اصلی برای زهد معرفی می شود که با آنچه از فرهنگ علوی در این خصوص می شناسیم، منطبق است. توجه به این نکته که اعراض مطرح شده در تعریف زهد، اعراضِ قلبی است نه جسمی ؛ فتح بابی مهم در این مسئله است، و زهد را بر خلاف تصور رایج، از عملی جوارحی، به فعلی جوارحی ـ جوانحی، مبدل می سازد. این مقولة اخلاقی در این نگاه، به عاملی محرک تبدیل می شود که زاهد را بصورت جدی به عرصه اجتماع و مواجه شدن با معضلات جامعه سوق می دهد. هستی شناسی حاکم بر اندیشة امام خمینی ره از ارکان اساسی در صورت بندیِ این تصویر از زهد و زاهد است. ایشان به عنوان یک حکیم صدرایی، نمایی از عالم و آدم و فلسفه زندگی او ترسیم می کند، که چنین تصویری را نیز از این مفهوم اخلاقی رقم می زند. زهد در این نگاه، فعال است نه منفعل. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/8_41.pdf
