In pursuit of its mission of producing science, promoting values and offering first-rate services, Islamic University not only has to respond quickly to the changes and create a learning culture, but its leaders should have the belief that one can learn from the other members of the university. The present study seeks to examine the need of Islamic University to have a special characteristic and explain some of the challenges that it can face, so the university may change into a teaching institution. The research method is descriptive - documentary analysis. The findings show that in today's changing world, leaders should continue learning as long as they practice teaching. This principle of learning cycle is a noble quality. At teaching universities, leaders seek out their mission in practicing teaching; they teach others and believe that teaching is the best way of developing the staff. At a teaching university, the leaders hold on to moral values. Since Islamic University and a teaching university rest on two foundations: culture and value leadership, it is possible for Islamic University to occupy the position of being a teaching university. دانشگاه، نهادی حیاتی در فرایند توسعۀ هر ملت و نقطۀ تلاقی قلمـروهای فرهنـگ، قـدرت و دانـش اسـت. دانشگاه اسلامی در راستای عمل به رسالت خود در جهت تولید علم و ترویج ارزش ها و ارائه خدمات نو، نه تنها ناگزیر از واکنش سریع به تغییرات و خلق فرهنگ یادگیری است؛ بلکه رهبران آن باید باور داشته باشند که از همة اعضای دانشگاه می توان آموخت. هدف مطالعه حاضر، بررسی ضرورت های برخورداری دانشگاه اسلامی از ویژگی و تبین برخی از چالش های پیش رو برای تبدیل شدن به دانشگاه یاددهنده است. روش تحقیق توصیفی ـ تحلیل اسنادی است. یافته ها نشان داد در دنیای در حال تغییر کنونی، رهبران درحالی که یاد می دهند، خود نیز باید به طور مداوم یاد بگیرند. این اساس چرخة یادگیری شرافتمندانه است. در دانشگاه های یاددهنده، رهبران رسالت خود را در آموزش افراد جست وجو می کنند، آنها آموزش می دهند و معتقدند آموزش بهترین روش توسعة کارکنان است. در دانشگاه یاددهنده، رهبران با ارزش ها زندگی می کنند. با توجه به تکیة دانشگاه اسلامی و دانشگاه یاددهنده بر دو بنیاد فرهنگ و رهبری ارزشی، تحقق یاددهندگی دانشگاه اسلامی دور از دسترس نیست. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/7_55.pdf
