In Christianity, the idea of millennialism, which means believing in the apocalypse, is linked to the belief in the return of Christ, the establishment of His rule, redemption, and salvation. The objective manifestation and practical example of this idea is reflected in the millennial movements. The scope of these movements necessitates analytical-critical studies of the nature and causes of their development. Therefore, the present article seeks to explore the views expressed on these movements by adopting a descriptive-analytical approach. The findings of this study, while showing various theoretical approaches in the nature of millennial movements, indicate the influence of social and psychological elements in the formation of these movements. Along with these factors, millennialism has been an ideological and sensible response to the oppression of governments and colonial powers. یکی از مقوله های مطرح در ادبیات فرجام گرایانۀ دینی مفهوم هزاره گرایی یا هزاره های موعود است. در آیین مسیحیت، اندیشۀ هزاره گرایی که در معنای آخرالزمان باوری است، با اعتقاد به بازگشت مسیح، استقرار حکومت او، رستگاری و نجات، پیوند دارد. نمود عینی و مصداق عملی این اندیشه در جنبش های هزاره گرا بازتاب یافته است. گسترۀ این جنبش ها، ضرورت بررسی های تحلیلی ـ انتقادی را در باب ماهیت و علل تکوین آن ایجاب می کند. ازاین رو، مقالۀ پیش رو می کوشد از طریق اتخاز یک رویکرد توصیفی ـ تحلیلی دیدگاه های مطرح در مورد این جنبش ها را مورد واکاوی قرار دهد.     یافته های این پژوهش ضمن نشان دادن رهیافت های نظری گوناگون در ماهیت جنبش های هزاره گرا، حاکی از تأثیر عناصر اجتماعی، روان شناختی در شکل گیری این جنبش هاست. در کنار این عوامل هزاره گرایی پاسخی ایدئولوژیک و معقول در برابر مظالم حکومت ها و دول استعماری بوده است. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/6_61.pdf
