According to verses and hadiths, one of the special purposes for human creation is to worship and serve God. Therefore, in order to gain divine satisfaction and reach the truth of servitude, the characteristics of servitude must be known. By referring to the Sahifa Sajjadiyya and extracting derivatives of the word 'Abd and analyzing some of the prayers of Imam Sajjad, it is understood that the true servants of God have outstanding features and characteristics. According to passages in the Sahifa Sajjadiyya, the true servant of God opposes the devil and sensual desires.He feels in need before his God, but feels needless in front of anyone other than God. A true servant never becomes arrogant before God and spends his life in obeying the commands and avoiding the prohibitions. If he commits a sin, he immediately repents, seeks forgiveness and does not insist on committing sins. He always hopes for the forgiveness of God and does his best in the divine tests. رسیدن به هدفی که خداوند برای خلقت انسان بیان کرده و شناخت عواملی که آدمی را به آن هدف می رساند، از مسائل مهم زندگی هر انسانی است. طبق آیات و روایات، یکی از اهداف ممتاز خلقت انسان عبودیت و بندگی ِ خداوند است. بنابراین برای کسب رضایت الهی و رسیدن به حقیقت عبودیت می بایست شاخصه های عبودیت شناخته شود. با مراجعه به صحیفه سجادیه و استخراج مشتقات واژه عبد و تحلیل فقراتی از دعاهای امام سجاد علیه السلام فهمیده می شود که بندگان حقیقی خداوند دارای شاخصه ها و ویژگی های برجسته ای هستند. طبق فرازهایی از صحیفه سجادیه، بنده واقعی خداوند با شیطان و هوای نفسش مخالفت می ورزد و در مقابل معبودش احساس نیاز می کند، ولی در مقابل غیر خداوند حس بی نیازی دارد. عبد حقیقی هرگز در مقابل معبودش تکبر نمی ورزد و عمرش را در انجام اوامر و ترک نواهی مولایش صرف می کند و در صورت انجام گناه بلافاصله توبه و استغفار کرده و بر انجام معصیت اصرار نمی ورزد و همیشه به بخشش معبودش امیدوار است و در امتحانات الهی نیکوترین عمل را انجام می دهد. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5_64.pdf
