The Imam said: seek the stability of dignity by removing greed, remove the humiliation of greed with the dignity of being disappointed at the favors of the others, and gain the dignity of disappointment by great effort. What is shared by the concepts of greed and cupidity is that a person suffering from these two vices wants to increase his wealth and possessions. One who is greedy wants to increase material wealth by gaining access to the property of others. Cupidity is against man’s desire to be independent and stand on his own two feet. Therefore, the feeling of dignity is one of the innate needs of human beings, which is opposed to the feeling of humiliation, abjection and coveting others’ property. The way to get rid of this vicious trait is to strengthen the feeling of disappointment at the help of others, meet one’s needs without the help of others and improve self-confidence and trust in God. این مقال شرحی است بر وصایای امام محمدباقر علیه السلام به جابربن یزید جعفی، در باب اوصاف شیعیان واقعی. آن حضرت می فرمایند: با از بین بردن طمع، پایداری عزت را بجوی و خواری طمع را با عزت ناامیدی از خیر دیگران از خود دور ساز و عزت ناامیدی را با همت بلند به دست آور. مفهوم حرص و طمع در این نکته اشترک دارند که انسان مبتلا به این دو زذیله، دوست دارد داشته ها و اموالش را زیاد کند. اما کسی که طمع دارد، می خواهد مال و بهره های مادی را از راه دستیابی به اموال دیگران زیاد کند. طمع، مقابل این حالت روحی است که انسان دوست دارد مستقل باشد و روی پای خود بایستد. بنابراین، احساس عزت یکی از نیازهای فطری انسان است که در مقابل احساس ذلت، خواری و چشم به اموال دیگران قرار دارد.     راه رهایی از این صفت زذیله این است که حسن ناامیدی از کمک دیگران را در خود تقویت کنیم و خود نیازهایمان را بدون کمک از دیگران برطرف کنیم و اعتماد به نفس را تقویت و به توکل به خدا کنیم. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/1_71.pdf
