The Satan and its role in the world is one of the topics of the realm of evil. Jewish, Christian, and Islamic scriptures, i.e. the Qur'an and the Testaments, have paid special attention to the issue of Satan. Using a comparative-analytical approach, this study is proposed. The purpose of this article is to examine the role of Satan from the perspective of the Holy Qur'an and the Testaments. Satan is introduced in the Holy Qur'an and the Testaments as the enemy of man and the prophets (a.s.), as well as the tempter of man. In the Old Testament, two other roles are stated for Satan including, a slanderer and an agent of God. In the Old Testament, Satan often has no evil character and is God's agent. The Holy Qur'an also has introduced the roles of the infidel, the guardian and the servant for the devil that cannot be seen in the Bible. The similarities can be explained by the common revelatory origin of these sacred texts. The differences could be caused by distortion in the Old Testament. یکی از مسائل مهم در الهیات ادیان مختلف، مسئله‌ی شر است. ازجمله موضوعات حوزه‌ی مسئله شر، شیطان و نقش او در جهان است. در متون مقدس اسلام، مسیحیت و یهودیت، یعنی قرآن و عهدین، موضوع شیطان جایگاه خاصی دارد. هدف این مقاله بررسی نقش شیطان از دیدگاه قرآن کریم و عهدین است. این پژوهش با استفاده از منابع کتابخانه ای و با رویکرد مقایسه ای انجام می شود. در قرآن کریم و عهدین، شیطان در نقش دشمنی با انسان و پیامبران و همچنین آزمایشگر و امتحان کننده‌ی انسان معرفی می شود. در عهد قدیم دو نقش دیگر برای شیطان بیان می شود: تهمت زننده و کارگزار خداوند بودن. شیطان در عهد قدیم در اغلب موارد، شخصیتی شرورانه ندارد و کارگزار خداست. قرآن کریم نیز نقش های کافر، ولی و خدمتکاری را برای شیطان بیان می کند که در عهدین دیده نمی شود. شباهت ها با توجه به منشأ وحیانی مشترک این متون مقدس قابل تبیین است. تفاوت ها می تواند ناشی از تحریف عهد قدیم باشد. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5_65.pdf
