abstract = {Abstract
The aim of the present research is to explain the theory of free education and compare it with the teachings of Islamic education. The analytical-comparative method has been used to achieve this goal. The required information was collected through the study of documents, and the analysis of the results was based on the Brody method in four stages of description, interpretation, juxtaposition and comparison. The research findings showed that the theory of free education include seven main foundations, including the intrinsic value of knowledge, public education and training, education of free citizens, correlation of knowledge and mind, unity in knowledge and plurality in reality, teaching rationality, and equality in taking advantage of opportunities. The theories of free education and Islamic education have common features such as emphasis on rationality, individual choice and will, intrinsic value of knowledge, etc. However, this theory has differences with teachings of the Islamic education, such as: attention to religion as a personal issue, individualism, reduction of sources of knowledge acquisition, elitism, epistemological pluralism and lack of attention to vocational training in free education.

abstract_fa ={هدف پژوهش حاضر، تبیین نظریۀ آموزش  و پرورش آزاد و تطبیق آن با آموزه های تعلیم و تربیت اسلامی است. برای دستیابی به این هدف از روش های تحلیلی ـ تطبیقی استفاده  شده  است. اطلاعات موردنیاز پژوهش از طریق مطالعه اسناد و مدارک جمع آوری و تجزیه و تحلیل نتایج آن نیز براساس روش برودی در چهار مرحله‌ی توصیف، تفسیر، هم جواری و مقایسه صورت گرفت. یافته های پژوهش نشان داد؛ مبانی نظریه آموزش  و پرورش آزاد مشتمل بر هفت مبنای اصلی ازجمله ارزشمندی فی نفسۀ دانش، تعلیم و تربیت عمومی، تربیت شهروند آزاد، همبستگی دانش و ذهن، وحدت در دانش و کثرت در واقعیت، تربیت عقلانیت، و تساوی در بهره گیری از فرصت هاست. نظریه آموزش  و پرورش آزاد با آموزه های تعلیم و تربیت اسلامی دارای وجوه مشترکی از قبیل: تأکید بر عقلانیت، انتخاب و اراده فردی، ارزش ذاتی دانش و... است. اما این نظریه با آموزه های تعلیم و تربیت اسلامی دارای وجوه افتراقی از قبیل: توجه به دین به عنوان امری شخصی، فردمحوری، فروکاهش منابع کسب معرفت، نخبه گرایی، کثرت گرایی معرفت شناختی و کم توجهی به حرفه آموزی در آموزش  و پرورش آزاد است.},
