This research seeks to answer the question as to what role belief in the Almighty God plays in human’s tendency towards perfection. The authors of this narrative-analytical article have used the method of thematic interpretation and referred to the verses of the Holy Quran to come to the conclusion that, in many cases, belief in God can be effective in faithful people’s desires and tendencies and their path to eternal happiness. These effects include adjusting the sexual instinct, adjusting love of wealth, affection and kindness of parents towards their children and vice versa, surrendering to the right, love and friendship, giving direction to fear and hope, creating confidence and peace of mind. باور به خدای متعال، نخستین اصل از اصول اعتقادی دین مبین اسلام و از عوامل اصلی نیل انسان به کمال و سعادت ابدی است. این پژوهش در پی پاسخ به این پرسش است که باور به خدای متعال، چه نقشی در کمال گرایشی انسان دارد. نگارندگان این نوشتار که به روش نقلی ـ تحلیلی به این مسئله پرداخته اند و با استناد به آیات قرآن کریم و به روش تفسیر موضوعی به این نتیجه رسیده اند که خداباوری می تواند در موارد متعددی در امیال و گرایش های انسانِ باورمند به خداوند، اثرگذار باشد و او را در مسیر نیل به سعادت ابدی یاری کند؛ آن موارد عبارتند از: تعدیل غریزۀ جنسی، تعدیل مال دوستی، عطوفت و مهربانی پدر و مادر نسبت به فرزندان و بالعکس، تسلیم شدن در برابر حق، محبت و دوستی، جهت دادن به خوف و رجاء، ایجاد اطمینان و آرامش روانی. https://marifat.nashriyat.ir/sites/marifat.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/3_96.pdf
