abstract = {Abstract
Moral value belongs to a behavior that leads man to the ultimate perfection and has an effect on his/her eternal happiness. This, in Islam, depends on believing in God and the Day of Resurrection. What is definitely inferred from the Qur’anic verses and narrations is that action will be futile in the hereafter if it is performed without faith; "«وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَي مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثوراً»" (Furqan: 23). Therefore, before obtaining moral values, we must have faith. Is faith considered as a moral value too? The question raised here is how can the actions of a person who has not yet believed in Islam have moral value when obtaining faith cannot be considered as having faith. On the other hand, moral value is a human voluntary act. Therefore, if having faith is not an optional act for someone, his/her action is not morally valuable.

abstract_fa ={ارزش اخلاقی به رفتاری تعلق می گیرد که انسان را به سوی کمال نهایی سوق دهد و در سعادت ابدی او تأثیر داشته باشد. در اسلام، چنین چیزی متوقف بر ایمان به خدا و روز قیامت است. آنچه به طور قطع از آیات و روایات استفاده می شود، این است که اگر کاری بدون ایمان انجام شود، در آخرت ثمری نخواهد داشت: «وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَی مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَّنثوراً» (فرقان: 23). بنابراین انسان قبل از کسب ارزش های اخلاقی لازم است به کسب ایمان بپردازد. اما آیا ایمان نیز از ارزش های اخلاقی به شمار می آید؟ زیرا این سؤال مطرح است که چگونه ارزش اخلاقی بر کسی که هنوز ایمان نیاورده، صادق است؟ چون نمی توان کسب ایمان را مبتنی بر ایمان دانست. از سوی دیگر، ارزش اخلاقی، فعل اختیاری انسان است. بنابراین اگر ایمان برای کسی به  عنوان یک فعل اختیاری مطرح نباشد، او کاری انجام نداده است تا ارزش اخلاقی داشته باشد.},
