Manifestations of a True Shiite Behavior

Abstract:
In his continuation of his commentary on the attributes and signs of the true Shiites and the righteous, Imam Ali introduces their other signs as follows: “A true Shiite does not waste what he has to preserve and does not give meaningless and ugly nicknames to others, and will not oppress anyone and will not be defeated by envy. A true Shiite does not harm his neighbor and does not blame anyone who is in distress. A true Shiite preserves any trusts which is given to him and returns it to its rightful owner, performs his prayers and his religious duties and is quick in doing good and is unwilling in bad deeds and refuses to do so. He enjoins good, and he follows himself, and forbids wrong and he avoids it himself”. This article tries to describe and interpret these characteristics.

Abstract:
امیرمؤمنان علی علیه السلام در ادامهی خطبهی خود دربارهی صفات و نشانه های پرهیزگاران و شیعیان واقعی نشانه های دیگر آنان را این گونه معرفی می کنند: «لَا یُضِیعُ مَا اسْتَحْفَظَهُ، وَلَا یُنَابِزُ بِالْأَلْقَابِ، لَا یَبْغِی عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلَا یَغْلِبُهُ الْحَسَدُ، وَلَا یُضَارُّ بِالْجَارِ، وَلَا یَشْمَتُ بِالْمُصَابِ، مُؤَدٍّ لِلْأَمَانَاتِ، عَامِلٌ بِالطَّاعَاتِ، سَرِیعٌ إِلَى الْخَیْرَاتِ، بَطِیءٌ عَنِ الْمُنْکَرَاتِ یَأْمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَیَفْعَلُهُ، وَیَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْکَرِ وَیَجْتَنِبُه»؛ آنچه را باید حفظ کند، ضایع نمی سازد و لقب های سبک و زشت به دیگران نمی دهد و به کسی ستم نمی کند و مغلوب حسد نمی شود. به همسایهی خود زیان نمی رساند و مصیبت دیده را شماتت و سرزنش نمی کند. امانت ها را ادا، و به طاعات و تکالیف خود عمل می کند و در انجام دادن کارهای خیر شتاب و سرعت دارد و در انجام کارهای زشت کندی، و از انجام آنها خودداری می کند. امربه معروف می کند و خود نیز بدان عمل می کند و از منکر نهی می کند و خود نیز از آن پرهیز می کند. این مقال، به شرح و تفسیر این ویژگی ها می پردازد.
