The Holy Quran calls one-sided financial assistance to the weak in society "Ihsan", which is one of the most important financial discussions in the Quran for reducing poverty in society and is similar to the redistribution of wealth in economics, which is established to reduce inequality. The purpose of this research is to compare the degree of connection between Ihsan in the Quran and the redistribution of wealth in economics with moral values ​​and legal requirements. The Holy Quran links Ihsan with moral values ​​and considers special legal requirements for it. Do economic schools also establish a connection between moral values ​​and the redistribution of wealth? And do they consider special legal rules for it? This study uses a descriptive-analytical method to investigate this issue. The findings of the study show that the Holy Quran associates charity with moral imperatives such as maintaining dignity, avoiding favoritism, and using the mechanism of secret aid, while economics does not establish a value relationship between wealth redistribution and morality. The Quran also establishes legal requirements for charity, such as benefiting the needy from the wealth of the rich and the right of the needy to access public wealth, which has a greater impact on reducing or eliminating poverty among the weak in society than the redistribution of wealth in economics.
