من بين واجبات الاسرة اعداد انسان قادر علي تحمل مسؤولياته تجاه اسرته، و هذا يعني ان كل انسان بحاجة الي اغناء ثقافته الاسريّة لكي يتمكن من توفير حياة افضل لاسرته. تساعد الثقافة الاسريّة علي دفع و اجتناب الاضرار التي تهدد كيان الاسرة و بالتالي تحسين الاوضاع المعيشية لافرادها. و يكتسب الانسان بعض تجاربه من التطورات الطبيعية التي تحصل له في حياته و من بينها التغيرات التي تحدث في مرحلة البلوغ و لكن اكتسابه للتجارب غالباً ما يحصل من خلال نشاطاته داخل الاسرة و بصورة لا ارادية.
تعتبر التطورات السريعة و المتعاقبة التي تحصل في المجتمعات الصناعية و المتطورة و عدم وجود فرصة كافية لدي الافراد للتزوّد بالثقافة الضرورية من بين العوامل التي تزيد من حدّة المشاكل التي تعصف بالاسرة فمثلا تشير الاحصائيات الي ارتفاع نسبة الطلاق و الخصام في المجتمعات الصناعية بشكل حادّ. و لذا نجد ان الاهتمام بموضوع الثقافة الاسريّة و خاصة فيما يتعلق بموضوع الزواج أخذ يزداد في الآونة الاخيرة. ان الهدف من التأكيد علي الثقافة الاسريّة و الثقافة الزوجية بصورة خاصة هو اغناء ثقافة الافراد بهذا الجانب و بالتالي تحسين الوضع المعيشي للاسرة و التمكن من السيطرة علي الازمات التي قد تعترض طريق الاسرة.

يمثل المجتمع الارضية الخصبة التي يمكن من خلالها الكشف عن طاقات الانسان و المواهب التي حباه اللّه بها و بتعبير آخر يمكن للمجتمع ان يوفر المناخ المناسب لنمو سلوك ايجابي لدي الانسان يساهم في استتباب الامان و الطمأنينة في المجتمع، و ان مثل هذا الامر لا يمكن تحقيقه إلا بالمحافظة علي القيّم الاصيلة لذلك المجتمع. لهذا نجد ان اهل الفكر و العلم يؤكدون في خطاباتهم و كتبهم علي الانتباه الي الآثار الخطرة التي يسببها التحلل الخلقي و الذي تعاني منه بعض المجتمعات نتيجة عدم التزام هذه المجتمعات بقيّمها الاخلاقية.
ان نشر القيم الاخلاقية السليمة بين افراد المجتمع و العمل علي ترسيخها يعتبر افضل وانجع وسيلة لدفع الانحرافات عن المجتمع، و تعتبر وسائل الاعلام افضل قناة يمكن من خلالها تحقيق هذا الهدف. و وسائل الاعلام بمثابة سلاح ذو حدّين فهي فإما ان تساعد علي ترسيخ القيّم و الفضائل الاخلاقية أو تكون عاملا من عوامل الانحطاط الاخلاقي، كما يمكن لوسائل الاعلام ان يكون لها دور في ايجاد تقارب فكري بين افراد المجتمع.

علم اجتماع التاريخ هو احد فروع المعرفة و قد تمخض هذا العلم عن اندماج عدد من الفروع. يمثل علم اجتماع التأريخ قاعدة يلتقي عليها كل من علم الاجتماع و التاريخ، و الواقع انه احد فروع علم الاجتماع الحديثة و يعني اكثر ما يعني باخبار الاجيال الغابرة و الآثار التي خلفوها.
و علي الرغم من زيادة الرغبة لدي البعض للخوض في دراسة هذا العلم و البحث فيه الا ان ندرة المصادر التأريخية المتوفرة خاصة حول المجتمعات القديمة جداً لا تشجع الباحثين علي المبادرة في سبر غور هذا الميدان و لذا لم يشهد هذا العلم تطوراً ملحوظاً. يقدم الكاتبان نبذة عن علم اجتماع التأريخ تتضمن اهم خصائصه و بدايات تطوره و كيف تطور و اصبح احد الفروع العلمية المستقلة في الغرب. يستهدف المترجم من خلال ترجمته لهذه المقالة اثراء ثقافة القاريء بمواضيع تتعلق بعلم الاجتماع.
The Role of Mass Media in Strengthening or Weakening Social Values

A society is a good ground in which God- gifted capacities thrive. It can contribute to the development of the kind of behavior which guarantees the society¨s security. The achievement of this goal requires safeguarding the values that govern a society. Hence, thinkers and scholars attribute the disrgard to social values and growth of deviant ideas to lack of knowledge, a belief which most religious sources affirm.
Realizing the importance of social values is one of the most efficient means of protecting these values and ideals against deviation. Mass media can play a majar role in this regard; it either causes social norms to become more firm or makes them wane, it can also contribute to unifying the level of people¨s view about social ideals and thoughts.

Historical sociolology is considered a branch of knowledge which is compound of two fields of study, namely history and sociology. As a matter of fact, historical sociology is mainly concerned with the history of ancient generations and the documents and reports handed down to us from the past. It is a new discipline which stems from sociology. Researchers have strong wish and readiness to explore this field of study, but because of the paucity of historical resources especially those concerning very ancient societies its development has been very slow. Reviewing the main features of the studies of historical sociology made in the West, the authors of this article introduce an account of its course of development.
The aim of the translator is to bring this topic to light in order to broaden the researchers¨ scientific knowledge.

One of the duties of the family is raising individuals and making them capable of carrying out their own family responsibilities.
In other words, once we realize the effect which family education has on the future of the family, we will understand how important it is for a person to acquire family education. For instance, it contributes to keeping the family safe and sound and this in turn leads to the attainment of an agreeable life.
Some experiences are acquired through the natural changes that usually occur in man¨s life such as those which take place in the age of puberty. One, however, learns a lot through one¨s interaction with the other members of one¨s family and this usually happens unconsciously.
Due to the fact that in industrial societies little or no opportunity remains for one to have access to family education, the family in these societies suffers from serious problems and the members of the family are often faced with undesirable experiences such divorce or family conflicts. This is why the attention to family education and to marriage education in particular is increasing these days.
The main aim of family education is to make people well informed about various family
affairs so that they may be able to solve family problems and guard their families against any challenge.
