The present study seeks to answer the question "What is the origin of lying and the strategies to deal with it?" The importance of the subject is that lying is one of the harms that hinders the progress and happiness of the individual and society. In this article, it examines the harm of lying in the family and the ways to deal with it from the perspective of the Quran and narrations. Using a descriptive-analytical method and citing Quranic and narrational sources, it informs oneself and others about the effects of lying on the strength of the family and also states the ways to deal with it so that the family institution is strengthened and the ground for happiness is created. The results obtained are: Lying in the family destroys trust, and a family in which lying is common will lose the trust of its members in each other and will collapse or even lead to divorce.
