Abstract:
One of the important issues regarding the relationship between ethics and politics is which one takes precedence when a political behavior conflicts with a moral value? Should moral values be prioritized and political expediency be abandoned? Or does political expediency take precedence over moral values? To find the answer to this question from an Islamic perspective, the meaning and scope of each of ethics and politics must be determined in order to clarify their relationship. In this way, we can resolve the issue of whether ethics and politics share a common domain, and which one takes precedence when they conflict. This paper deals with the analysis of conflicts in this field and how to get out of it.
